Our guest speaker for the 12 nights of Muharram 2018/1440 is Shaykh Mohammed Ali Ismail from the United Kingdom.
The series of Shaykh Mohammed Ali's lectures is "Past Prophets, Modern Challenges".
In this series of lectures, Shaykh Mohammed Ali Ismail will be examining the stories of the previous prophets as mentioned in the Qur'an to see how we can draw inspiration from them, and deal with some of the challenges facing us today.
The topic for tonight, Monday, September 10th is: "Prophet Dawud and Not Jumping to Conclusions."

Shaykh Mohammed Ali Ismail, from Peterborough, graduated in Law. He then went to Qum, Iran where he studied in the Hawza for ten years, specialising in Qur’an and Hadith Studies. Whilst in Qum, he regularly taught on short courses and was instrumental in setting up The World Federation Islamic Education Qum Office, which he also managed for three years. Having graduated from the Hawza in 2007, he went on to complete a Post Graduate Certificate in Education at the University of Portsmouth.
Shaykh Mohammed Ali then moved to Damascus, Syria where for two years he taught and trained aspiring Ministers of Religion at the Islamic Institute for Post Graduate Studies. He resettled in the UK in 2010 and is currently Director of Research and Publications and a senior lecturer and editor at The Islamic College, London. He is also Director of Strategy for the Islamic Education department of The World Federation, and is in the final stages of his doctorate at Middlesex University.
For the last two decades, Shaykh Mohammed Ali has been lecturing and conducting courses in Islamic centres around the world. His most recent publication is Islamic Laws, an annotated translation of the Tawdih al-Masa’il of al-Sayyid al-Sistani.
